Passion & Purpose
The fast-changing world of higher education is faced with increasingly complex challenges. Students in the Doctor of Education program at Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill. are emerging as change agents and thought leaders who are intent on transforming the world of higher education. We seek to elevate the world of higher education by equipping experienced leaders driven by a higher purpose to lead organizations through lasting, transformative change.
We are more than a unique group of dedicated, values-driven researchers. We are a close-knit family of colleagues and collaborators deeply rooted in each other’s long-term success. We are committed to grooming thoughtful and compassionate leaders, who are sensitive and responsive to the needs of key stakeholders and are in tune with the affective culture of higher education.
Our students benefit from our collaboration with Benedictine’s Ph.D. in Organizational Development program, and its themes of leadership and organizational development and change, which are highly relevant to the world of higher education. In addition, Ed.D. students benefit from research from the business world, which enables them to apply this knowledge in a higher education environment. Students grow as active leaders influenced by the best practices of organizational development and change.
This Ed.D. degree empowers students to demonstrate, share and develop intellectual and personal skills, as well as encourage their aspirations as educational leaders. Overall, the program seeks to develop engaging and effective scholars and practitioners who are able to use their knowledge and experience to achieve informed best practice in their areas of service and guide the critical changes necessary to keep American higher education the best in the world.
